How the “Neurocyberpunk” Lecture-Discussion Went

This week, at the Plus Dacha summer terrace in Gorky Park, we held our lecture for visionaries and tech enthusiasts— “NEUROCYBERPUNK.” Together with Alex Panov, founder of Neiry, we explored a wide range of films, video games, and books, collecting the most fascinating examples of neurointerfaces — technologies that were once pure science fiction but are now becoming reality.

We discussed these cases in depth — analyzing who develops and sells such technologies, at what cost, and what ethical challenges arise as they spread through society.

The lecture also featured Mikhail Lebedev, professor at Moscow State University and mentor to many members of Elon Musk’s Neuralink team. Mikhail shared insights into the latest brain experiments you’ve likely never heard about.

All proceeds from the event were donated to support “Turn On Your Brain,” an educational initiative promoting neuroscience and neurotechnology literacy.
